The 928 II is EMT's battery-powered precision turntable — 23 kg, with a chassis machined from aluminium resting on four decoupled spherical feet. It runs from an independent battery supply, so interference from the power grid is excluded from the signal path entirely; the built-in charger handles the cycles automatically and reports through a two-colour LED. A modern 20-watt motor brings the 5.5 kg platter to speed in seconds and holds it within a narrow tolerance at 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm. The deck is prepared for EMT's 9-inch tonearms, and a factory adapter adds a second position for any 12-inch EMT arm. Factory packages pair it with the 909-HI tonearm and an EMT cartridge.
