The Relentless Preamplifier is a three-chassis design, with a dedicated audio chassis for each channel flanking a central power supply and control section whose two 150 VA toroidal transformers and 26,400 microfarads of filter capacitance rival the supplies of many power amplifiers. Each mono channel uses a discrete differential FET input stage with over 1 megohm input impedance and 30-volt input capability, with all gain realized in the current domain and no negative feedback anywhere in the fully complementary, balanced signal path. Twin 14-component volume controls allow two-source, two-zone operation, and an optional field-upgradeable Digital Streaming Module adds native decoding of PCM to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256.
