Opus speaker cable was introduced in 2000 and has been through three major revisions since. The current Generation 6 build takes several days per pair. Each network's components are chosen and matched to the cable's electrical characteristics and length, encased in electrically neutral epoxy and surrounded by a large carbon fibre housing contoured to reduce standing-wave reflections. A carbon fibre sheet in epoxy stiffens the constrained-layer damped acrylic platform, with isolation feet beneath. Spade lugs are custom-machined, gold-plated tellurium copper. Terminations, lengths and the aspect of each connector are made to the customer's components and room. Handcrafted in the USA, upgradeable to Magnum Opus, recalibration at no charge for the registered owner.
