The TD 124 DD revives the most legendary turntable in Thorens history, the 1957 TD 124 that served broadcast studios worldwide for decades. The purist design follows the original, while the height-adjustable aluminium chassis now rests on vibration-damping elements and the idler wheel gives way to a high-precision direct drive with powerful torque. The TP 124 tonearm adds ruby-bearing anti-skating, a patented electric lift and a removable SME headshell, and the deck ships with a second, heavier counterweight prepared for the Thorens SPU TD 124 cartridge.
