Alpha-X Ethernet is built on Shunyata's own SR-6a cable, a 22 gauge, fully shielded 100 ohm construction in a PTFE dielectric with Telegartner connectors. It carries a 19-element TAPc module and a single-element CMode. The minimum length is 1.5 m, and Shunyata does not recommend shorter runs on the X series.
