The SB1 applies Digital Motional Feedback, a control technology from the Dutch high-tech industry, in which an acceleration sensor mounted on the cone monitors its motion. Combined with smart digital processing and current drive, this reduces the distortion of the high-performance aluminium woofer by as much as 30 dB, resolving the resonance-related problems inherent to conventional bass reproduction. It partners the LS1v2, LS1a and LS1c, and a switch facilitates use with third-party systems.
