The LS1a brings Grimm Audio's LS1-series quality to a reduced price by making rational choices: a non-magnesium woofer, a lighter foot plate and a lacquered cabinet, while retaining the low distortion and extremely linear amplitude and phase response achieved through Computer Aided Calibration during production. Its form factor permits placement close to a wall without wall-reflection interference. Connections accommodate analog and three digital AES/EBU sources, and adding an LS1s or SB1 subwoofer set turns the two-way system into a very low distortion three-way loudspeaker.
