The PW1 "Phono Wizard" is a solid state phono preamplifier designed by Grimm Audio co-founder Peter van Willenswaard, who spent a lifetime designing phono stages in both solid state and tubes and here matches his best tube-based designs. The circuit is elegantly minimalistic, with the electric environment of every active component optimized in conjunction with a meticulously tuned power supply. A superiorly shielded power transformer removes any need for an external supply, and the copper-shielded interior is finished like a piece of art.
