The Reference Phono 10 is Audio Research's ultimate phono stage, a true dual-mono design across separate amplification and power supply chassis, with independent signal paths, separate high- and low-voltage transformers per channel, and twenty stages of electronic regulation including separate vacuum-tube regulation for each channel. The fully discrete, pure Class-A, zero-feedback audio circuit uses eight 6H30 tubes, with high-gain, extremely low-noise FETs in place of a step-up transformer. Two independently configurable inputs offer switchable gain, seven loading options and selectable RIAA, Columbia and Decca equalization, all accessible by remote control.
