The I/70 combines Audio Research separates in a single compact package, its visual design taking cues directly from the Reference 330M. The same output transformer used in the famed Reference 75 amplifier is paired with four KT120 output tubes to produce 70 watts per channel, governed by auto-bias, with independent tube preamplifier and tube amplifier sections and a 75-step volume control. The headphone output is driven by the KT120 output tubes themselves, and optional user-installable cards add an AKM Velvet Sound DAC with USB, optical, coax and Bluetooth, or MM/MC phono with adjustable MC loading from 50 to 1k ohms.
