The MPC500 protects audio components with cascaded surge protection, using a thermally protected metal-oxide varistor for AC line-to-neutral protection, a safer arrangement than a traditional MOV. Low-voltage secondary surge protection guards connected equipment further, and up to eight components can be plugged in. The chassis follows McIntosh system styling for a coherent rack.
