The MCT500 is a digital-only SACD/CD transport with four outputs: balanced, coaxial, optical and McIntosh's proprietary MCT connection, which carries SACD's DSD stream to MCT-equipped McIntosh preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers and DACs. It plays SACD, CD, CD-R/RW and DVD-R discs with a twin laser optical pickup, and a front-panel USB input handles flash drive playback.
